The Cult of Rustic Cuff

I was a single struggling mom once upon a time, there were situations where making a decision between paying the electric bill or buying food to feed my children were realities.
I am saying this as a preface to what I am about to vent, yes vent, rant, an old fashioned Angie Rant is in the works.
As I have written about before, I was introduced to the world of Rustic Cuff, it is a store in Tulsa that has become a phenomenon. The owner gives away a lot of bracelets and does great things in the community, the following is nothing on her.
I was introduced to a group on Facebook (of course) called Addicted 2 Cuffs, Jill Donovan Fan Club, kid you not, that is the name.
In this club I have seen some really good things, but the majority of things I have seen border on narcissistic, selfish, unkind and unfeeling behavior. They worship Jill like she is Jesus come to earth again. They say things like, in the spirit of Jill and what Jill would want and things of that nature. I am not going to lie; I have been truly bothered by some of the things I have seen.
First I am going to touch on the things I have seen that have inspired me, the woman who took her mother out this Christmas and they bought lunch for strangers. Took money and went to fast food places and paid for people’s meals that were in line at the drive-thru. That was inspiring, the woman who spoke of her friend whose husband lost his job, people donated gift cards so she could buy groceries and gas. Inspiring. Jill taking toy donations for the children’s ward at the local hospitals. Inspiring.
Then we see the ugly side of things, the woman whose 5-year-old son told her he needed money for the Santa shop at school, she asked what he was going to buy. He said he wanted to buy her a bracelet, because she wears them and he wanted to get her one because they make her happy. She told her son not to buy her any bracelet but Rustic Cuff. He said I guess I’ll buy you a necklace, because even a 5-year-old knows he can’t afford one of those bracelets. One could almost feel his defeat, as his mother cackled about this and women clicked like and made comments like, oh I don’t own anything but Rustic Cuff. This mother should be ashamed of herself, all her son knew was mommy wears pretty bracelets and loves them and he wanted to be included on her arm.
God help the person who sells one of these things they have bought with their own money, these women become vicious. Here’s the thing, once one buys something, it becomes theirs to do with what they want. If someone on eBay is willing to pay 4 times the original price, well good for that seller. They are living the American Dream, it is called supply and demand, it is called feeding your family.
To the woman who said her goal this year was to give away 52 of these things, I am truly flabbergasted. I did the math, even on the low-end, that is $1,200.00 to $1,500.00 in costume jewelry. I’m sorry, but if you saved that money all year and at the end of the year used that lump sum to truly help someone in need, that is in the spirit of Christ.
Let’s not kid ourselves, Jill is making money hand over fist, that is why she can give away trips to Disneyland and Iwatches and IPad and free bracelets. She is incredibly altruistic, but she is not Jesus! Women are forgetting that, once again, when I see in the spirit of Jill or let’s do what Jill would want I am a little horrified.
I wonder if this woman who started all of this reads some of these things and is just as horrified as I am, I wonder if she thinks how can I rein it in. I don’t know, I don’t know her, at all.
I do know she did a wonderfully nice thing for someone very close to me and I really appreciate it. But Jill is not Jesus. I did not praise her, I thanked God for His work in this woman’s life.
I am done buying bracelets, I have enough, after all, I only have two arms, I have the ones I want, ones that represent people and things very near and dear to me. My children, my home state and my Sooners, that is enough.
Oh, I also wear bracelets other than Rustic Cuff, gasp, I know, right! Imagine the horror!
I have seen pictures of some of the collections of these women and I have done the math, no one needs over $3,000.00 worth of costume jewelry, no matter the message of the owner of the company. You could have a really good piece of jewelry that you could hand down to your children for that amount of money.
I know I will take a lot of bashing for this, as those women are vicious when they feel that their cult has been belittled. However, living in Texas, I feel relatively safe.

  1. IMHO Jill is a marketing genius but a horrible person. Her “story” is nothing but a marketing ploy. Her products are now so cheaply made that they fall apart. If you dare to question the quality or lack of customer service, she sends her cuff nazis to bash you on social media. No thanks. My wife will wear real jewelry that lasts and that isn’t sold by someone like her.

  2. angie I totally agree with you.

I’ve actually set back and I watch.
I think some of the stuff is “on s first name basis” winner.

I don’t believe it’s random like she makes us believe.

I have cuffs and wear them daily. And I’ve bought some to give away.
When I added up what I sent I’m a months time I was amazed and since then I have hardly bought any more as I couldn’t believe it.

But I totally agree with the above message. As I’ve felt the same way.

  3. I totally agree. I think it is a marketing ploy. She gives away cheap costume jewelry, so what. Maybe she should give food and clothes to shelters. Maybe she does but I haven’t heard about. The items are so cheaply made. Alot of complaints about stuff breaking and falling apart. My friend told me she took 4 items in to be fixed in one week, but she keeps buying. I’ve never seen so much drama and backstabbing that goes on ,on the Facebook pages. I hope it is like beanie babies and goes away. Ps I’ve heard she’s building a new house.

  4. so, I was just blocked by Rustic Cuff on instagram because I spoke the truth. They posted a video of them dancing and someone said I guess this is why I was rushed off the phone. I said she has major fulfillment issues. Blocked, and they blocked the other person as well. Insanity. I am honestly surprised not one single one of the Rustic Cuff people have commented here.

  5. Oh my dear friend. I hope you do not feel that way towards me! (as I am wearing 4 cuffs at this very moment) I am so sorry you have had a bad experience. You know I agree with you on this topic. That being said…not everyone gets caught up in the drama and some of us just enjoy the cuffs for what they are….costume jewelry. I have gifted and re-gifted too, not for attention but to brighten a friends day. I do other things to help in my community as well that do not involve cuffs. I do post pretty pictures of my cuffs and really do not feel that is a bad thing…it is just for fun. No I do not look at Jill as Jesus or a saint. Is she a great business woman….yes…does she give back to the community….yes….. It is sad to me that a few bad apples can spoil the apple cart. I try to scroll past the negative and enjoy the positive. Love ya girl!! BFF

  6. If you say anything that they don’t agree 100% you get blocked. That ruined rustic cuff for me. I was not thrilled with an admin of the main site and said I wasn’t a fan on my personal page. One of the followers showed her and I was blocked and blacklisted from that and other groups. That seems to go against the whole spirit of which it was started. I disagree that Jill is a bad person and I think she is genuine in her giving but the followers have gone a bit crazy. I sold my entire set for $2500. When I added it up I was appalled at how much I had spent. Appalled and ashamed. Mysty can you explain your post. I think there was some typos. Thanks

  7. Preach it girl! Couldn’t agree more. The majority of it is junk! It’s just expensive costume jewelry. I’ve sold most of my collection and can’t believe how much I’ve spent over the last year.

  8. FYI, the bulk of the bracelets are made in China, btw. She flies to Asia all the time to check on operations. Hardly any of the bracelets are made in Tulsa. Anyone who thinks they are is nuts. All hail Jill, she gives away goods from China to Americans. Just ridiculous people act like she’s in a room stringing together millions of bracelts. And the cost is crazy. She can afford to give away so many because she charges sometimes 40x what they cost to make. Not only that, but she never advertises ever. The Oprah story (which is kinda weird btw) and fiving things away is more publicity than any billboard could buy. The China thing gets me, and it is a FACT. RC pays Asian workers to make cheap Chinese bracelets and put on RC branding. Remember that the next time those “cuff sisters” ramble on and on about the “mothership” and what a great American their dear leader is. It’s like Tulsa-area women are in the twilight zone and don’t even know it.

  9. What’s sad to me is that you decided to rant on about your Hatorade because of a few bad apples.  Not everyone–as a matter of fact–not most of the people who enjoy RC fit this demographic you’re putting them in.  And the whole “What Would Jill Do” is a light hearted thing about fashion.  People who truly believe Jill to be Jesus are just as deceived as you are.  If you really want to talk about cultish things, you might want tho check in some of your cabinets and pantries at home manufactured by evil people out to make a buck with cheaply made things from China.  Even a lot of your named brand products are made in sweat shops in Sri Lanka and the Philippines.  Nobody is talking about the costume jewelry Marc Jacobs sells for a gazillion dollars that turns people’s skin green or a Fendi keychain that costs over $150.  If you shop at Walmart, 85% of their products are Made in China.  And lets not forget the genetically enhanced food we feed our children…..  You might want to research GMO: genetically modified organisms we’re ingesting in our produce.

My point is that people will have bad experiences with any company.  But to attack everyone who partakes in something you had a bad experience with is childish and hypocritical.  The irony of your blog is that you collected a gathering of people who share in your distaste.  Sounds pretty cultish to me.  But thats my own opinion.

And to the guy who will only buy his wife “real” jewelry, don’t be so naive to believe that the conditions of gold and diamond mines are free from the tyranny of slavery and/or murderous take overs.

Thank you for reading and feel free to block me.  I am a fan of Rustic Cuff and I believe in the authenticity of Jill’s story.  And I pray that you can find joy and positivity in things, rather than rant on about something you have the power to change.  May God bless your endeavor if it be His will to do so…in Jesus’ most loving and miraculous name!

    Sincerely,
A mother who survived once being a struggling single mother, with faith

    1. It’s so cute you think this is a rant. Obviously this is an observation. Since this is the only thing you have bothered to read on my page, I will enlighten you. I reserve my Angie rants for the political process, bad television, the bachelor, bachelorette (horrible shows) reality television, cheating men, women who knowingly have sex with married men, engaged men or men who are dating someone else.
This is a mere observation. And since this is my world, I get to make that observation.
Since, for now, we still have freedom of speech and thought, you have the right to your freedoms of speech and thought.
However, I have been writing here since 2010, and the rustic cuff stuff is a mere 4 entries.
It only went further because Betsy Free threatened me.
So there you have it Silkie, a small sized rant from Angie. If you want to see full on rants I suggest you do a search at the top of my page. Pat Robertson will get you a truly great one.

  10. Angie, I’ve only just been introduced to your blog. I’m sure anyone who has dedicated time to blogging has much to say about lots of things. I was merely stating that you can’t put a whole group of people into the same category. It’s ludicrous. I respect you have an opinion about something as I hope you can respect others may have an opposing opinion.

As for Mr Clint, should I say ignorant on your part? You don’t know me from Jack. I like pretty things that don’t just come from Rustic Cuff. I was observing your statement about how you said your wife will wear real jewelry not made by her, meaning Jill; however, do you really know who died for your wife’s real jewelry?

  12. Please enlighten us, we would like to know who died over a bracelet…lol…some of you just choose not to see the REAL Jill…i however dont stand for anyone making fun of anyone which she endorses and has her puppets defend for her. Sad really…but you keep believing you’re making a difference by buying a bracelet. Sure I bought the story, bought alot of cuffs…when you cant see the difference in 2 seperate accounts and service customers like any normal business does and you start becoming an admin on every page to block people that have issues….YOU MY FRIEND ARE A HYPOCRITICALJACKASS.When you see customer service issues you take care of them. You dont cancel orders and block your buyers from every page claiming money dont matter. You DONT MESSAGE SOMEONE THAT HAD AN ISSUE AND TELL THEM YOU ARE GIVING THEM AYEAR OF SOMETHING FOR FREE AND THEN TAKE IT BACK BECAUSE SHE DOESNT COMPLY WITH YOUR CRONIES BECAUSE THE APOLOGY ISSUED WAS FROM HER ASSISTANT NOT JILL HERSELF. I believe in gifting but I realized I was a gifter long before these bracelets came along and they lost a customer in me, my husband and many others they have treated badly. I believed in Jill and her story although I never had the opportunity to meet her. I didnt go to the store 4 to 10 times a day trying to catch her. I gifted when I felt obliged to becauae GOD TOLD ME TO NOT JILL. I saw so many women hating on a2c that I SAID WWJD…WHAT WOULD JILL DO..NOW IM SORRY I EVEN SAID IT BEXAUSE THE REAL WWJD IS WWJD. ANYONE WHO MAKES BRACELETS OR DOES ANYTHING THAT COMPROMISES HER GETS BANNED..FROM ALL SITES. EVEN A 63 YR OLD MOTHER THAT HAD QUESTIONS. WHO DOES THAT??? WHY NIT JUST TAKE CARE OF YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE ISSUES. INSTEAD YOU ALLOW YOUR CORE GROUP…YOUR FAVORITES TO TRASH THOSE WHO DONT COMPLY. DOES WAL MART DO THAT ??? NO THEY TAKE CARE OF THEUR CUSTOMERS. DOES AMAZON DO THAT NO THEY TAKE CARE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS. YOU KEEP YOU’RE ELITE GROUP. IVE SEEN WOMEN…ONE I GAVE HER ..HER VERY FIRST CUFF TURN ON FRIENDS THEYVE KNOWN ALL THEIR LIFE BECAUAE THEY “WANT TO FIT IN”…..I’VE STAYED QUIET ….BUT NOT ANYMORE. I WAS THREATENED WITH LAWSUITS OF SLANDER FOR MAKING A CUSTOMER SERVICE POST….THEY BANNED ME AND MY HUSBAND FROM EVERY RC SITE THAT JILL BECAME AN ADMIN OF. IF YOU ARE PROMOTING YOUR VUSINESS ON A PAGE AND PEOPLE CANT GET AHOLD OF YOU FOR HELP…THEY ARE GONNA GO WHERE YOU DO GIVEAWAYS WHERE PEOPLE THINK YOU ARE GREAT.DO A DISNEY GIVEAWAY WHILE PEOPLE ORDER MILLIONS. WAKE UP…YOU CAN ORXER THAT SHIT ANYWHERE AND DEAL WITH REAL PEOPLE WHO LOVE GIFTING IN EVERY FORM.TODAY….I GAVE A RIDE TO A BLACK MAN WALKING ON THE HIGHWAY TO HIS JOB. MY HUSBAND WOULD PROBABLY KILL ME AS I HAD MY 5YR OLD WITH….BUT THAT MAN WAS WALKING AGAINST THE WIND DOWN A HIGHWAY. IM NOT PREGITOUS…I DINDT SPEND 80$ ON A BRACELET…I HELPED A MAN GET TO HIS JOB…..I didnt think hes in scrubs and hes black…what if he escaped a mental health facilty…or what if he robs me…cause hes black?? What if hes an addict or a murderer…GOD TOLD ME TO GO GIVE THAT MAN A RIDE…AND YOU KNOW WHAT…NICE GUY….APPRECIATED THE RIDE.IF YOU ARE A CHRISTIAN AND YOU BELIEVE IN GODS WORD THAT HAPPENS WHEN GOD SPEAKS…PERIOD.NOT BECAUSE OF A BRACELET. AND GOD TOLD ME TO SELL ALL MY STUFF BECAUSE I WAS SOMEBODY BEFORE I SPENT ALL THAT MONEY AND I COULD HELP OTHERS REGARDLESS. I GIFTED MANY BRACELETS AND HAD A FEW GIFTED TO ME. I DID NOT SEARCH OUT GIFTING LIKE MANY SO…ITS GOTTEN RIDICULOUS. WAKE THE HELL UP LADIES…IF YOURE REALLY A CHRISTIAN..ITS OK TO LIKE RC AND WEAR A FEW BRACELETS….BUT DONT LET IT DEFINE YOU. MY PAST IS AN OPEN BOOK WHICH THEY TRIED THROWING IN MY FACE…THEY ARE ABOUT 6 MONTHS TOO LATE. HOWEVER TO KNOW THEY REALLY DONT LIKE CERTAIN PEOPLE ENOUGH TO BLOCK THEM FROM EVERY RC PAGE AND NOT LIVE UP TO THEIR OWN OBLIGATIONS SHOULD TELL YOU WHAT KIND OF PEOPLE THEY REALLY ARE. NOT ABOUT MONEY MY ASS…..HOW MANY OF YOU CAN POST PI S OF YOUR CHILD WITH A HELLO KITTY AIRPLANE, HOW MANY OF YOU THINK CHINA OR HONG KONG TRIPS ARE FOR FUN BECAUSE HER CUFFS ARE MADE IN OKLAHOMA??? REALLLYYYYYY?????? I AM NOT MAD BECAUSE THEY DID ME WRONG, IM MAD BECAUSE THIS STORY IS NOTHING MORE THAN A MARKETING PLOY…..HAD THEY DONE WHAT THEY SAID I MIGHT STILL BE A BELIEVER. NOW I BELIEVE OPRAH…AND I THINK ITS FUNNY GEORGE CLOONEY WOULDNT TAKE A SELFIE WITH SOMEONE WHO THINKS THIS WORLD OWES HER SOMETHING. NEXT TIME YOU BUY A CUFF FROM RC REMEMBER YOU CAN GET IT CHEAPER AND ACTUALLY HELP OUT A SINGLE MOTHER OR AN ACTUAL CAUSE AND THAT THE GIFTING IS FROM YOURE OWN HEART NOT TO BE A WORSHIPPER OF SOMEONE WHO REALLY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU…THINK ABOUT THOSE YOU KNOW WHO SUFFER FROM ADDICTION…U MOCK ONE YOU MOCK ALL. MY “LET GO LET GOD” CUFF AND MY “ONE DAY AT A TIME” cuff were very special to me…as were alot of my cuffs. I took pride in gifting…but one cross word and THEY STRIP IT FROM YOU…WHO DOES THAT????? PEOPLE WHO MAKE SO MUCH MONEY OFF THEIR PROMOTIONS THAT THEY REALLY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU. GET A GRIP CHRISTIANS…..IS THIS WHAT DEFINES YOU??? BRACELETS??? WEAR bracelets and be proud..no matter what brand they are…but buy cheaper and know that costume jewelry doesnt revolve around RC…as a matter of fact most of their designs have been copied……by NAME BRANDS. SMH…believing someone has good intentions is one thing…co ering up for them when YOU KNOW YOUVE SEEN THEM BE CRUEL TO OTHERS IS ANOTHER…WE ALL SLIDE INTI THE SAME DIRT. GET REAL.

  13. Joanna…it is sad that SOME treat people as such. But to call me names because I believe that you can’t categorize everyone who is on a Facebook page as being the same is hypocritical. Honey, you can’t go on preaching this and that and spew cusses and expect to truly be heard. It’s confusion. James said it in the Bible in chapter 3 verse 10, “Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be.” There are only 2 sides here: God’s and satan’s. Hate can kill…satan comes to kill, steal, and destroy. And confusion is of the devil. The Father says that if we see a brother (or sister) in a fall, we are to restore such a one. Fine, be disappointed, but be angry and sin not.

And have you ever heard of people being murdered over diamonds in Africa?

  14. I myself love the rustic cuffs but I don’t get involved with the drama. Do you people not read the bible. Who are we to judge Jill. Everyone has their opinions but something are made to be left off Facebook and the Internet. In the business world which I have worked for years people are gonna hate you when you do something they don’t like. It’s the downfall of owning your own business and you can’t make everyone happy. Let’s think about Jill children for a minute would you want your children reading this trash about you. Sometimes people need to think before they speak. We are adults and we need to start treating people with respect. I for one like the bracelets. I don’t know Jill personally and never have been gifted anything but I still believe Jill is a awesome person and that she has her faults but she also a business owner that alone is stressful. Cut her some slack.

We all are….so dont try to use your bible thumping words to defend your actions or that of RC….thats the problem with Christianity today. Dont sit here and tell me youve never had customer service issues with another company or business and wanted it fixed…and let down by the outcome. Regardless I SHARED MY EXPERIENCE. And when I get pms from women several times a day like this:

Im ok….just wanted to tell you after reading the stuff about rc and seeing all the other brands and dealing with some not so nice people. Ive been selling mine im so disappointed in myself spending money i dont have cause i got caught up in this i sold a bunch today $400! Wtf was i thinking! Thank you for opening my eyes.

Well your defensive comments make me laugh with angie. Alot of RC women are so caught up in the craze and defensive they cant even see how mean and horrible they sound….tskkk tskkk are we the pot calling the kettle black????;) have a great day!!!

Geez do people really not see the big picture of this scam? Its cool if your okay with spending your whole paycheck on something that wont last a year. How did this become a lifestyle? While she is buying a new house wearing expensive clothes and constantly taking trips her followers are working hard at their 9 to 5s just trying to save up to buy more overly expensive costume jewelry. How does one become so consumed with Rustic Cuff? Why are ppl buying them for babies and toddlers? Even the emblem is ripped off from Tory Burch they are eerily similar. Unfortunately I was born with a conscious and I dont have it in me to rip off ppl. As a fellow jeweler I couldn’t imagine selling fake silver for the price of real silver. I guess I got more morals than I thought I had. Maybe we should all figure out how to start a cult so we can all live lavishly. Good luck Angie with your blogging, I sure enjoyed this one.

I believe its sad how you would take the time to post this, if you would be more concern about volunteering at your local shelter or setting up a website to feed the hungry then maybe you would not have so much idle time to say hmm I am making a page to show everyone how i feel about cuffs/ and generalize this as a cult. I think Jill is a great lady and does actually do a lot for the community. Ive known of her rebuilding someone’s roof when it collapsed due to rain. She has actually donated a lot of goods to the local food pantry. She has made special bracelets and donated all the proceeds to an Autism Care Center, I can go on and on and what she has done, but don’t believe I need to. even if it is custom jewelry that is what sells and it works for her. no I do not know her personally but felt I had to express how horrible this thread is. I was googling rustic cuff store near me and this page pops up. To be judge like this doesn’t really bother me. I work for my money and can spend how I want to its my choice just like its your choice to feel this way and have your own opinion but to make a page about it? just shows how bitter you may be. Life has so many other issues going on to actually bother with petty stuff like this. May God Bless you and open your eyes to real problems facing this world today.

If you had taken the time to look at my whole site you might have gotten some incite to who I am and what I typically write about. Shame on you for not doing your research before judging me. I am a writer and have had my own radio show. I feel confident in putting my opinion on my page. When you clicked on a site named Angie World what did you think you were entering? I clearly state this site is my world and my opinions. If you didn’t want to read you didn’t have to. I do hope you educate yourself in the future before posting on other sites.

It’s what’s in your heart that’s what’s from God and weather your gifting cuffs or food or clothing whatever God leads one to do it’s between them and God. Jill is million times the woman you could ever imagine to be. Gee you got your cuffs and I guess you wear them with pride so now you bash others that are building the collection that is meaningful to them???? It’s not a two way street with you is it. Pick up that bible & read it. YES Gods definitely working in Mrs Donavan’s life. She built a business she can be proud of one that is inspiring to others that they too want to gift whatever their heart calls them to do. I’ve seen none of this negativity you’ve mentioned. Everyone is positive and they share their inspiring stories of how God worked in their lives. Maybe your jealous I’m not sure but I’ll certainly pray God opens your heart to see the good. Have a blessed day.

    1. Well, Tina, I will tell you who I think I am, I am Angie, you should know that as you clicked on a website named Angie World. Once you entered my world, I say what I want and I do it with impunity. The entry you found was written almost a year ago, did you happen to notice that? Probably not, I have found you and your ilk have no inkling as to how a blog works. I am going to be a little harsh as you did not take the time to read anything else I have written.
I wrote the truth, and if you took your blinders off and actually read what I wrote, without your gullibility in place you would know that. Also I can’t take a person seriously who doesn’t bother to spell words correctly or use proper punctuation. Whether, not weather, God’s not Gods (your way is plural) and unless you’re worshipping more than one, well God should be correctly punctuated.
I am a writer who writes what I observe, the Rustic Cuff Cult leader and her minions were a blip. Oh an FYI one of your precious Cult minions threatened to find my biggest secret and reveal it. All because I said they had fulfillment isssues. Which at the time they did, I honestly don’t know about now.
You see I don’t invest a lot of money in junk jewelry. I prefer the real deal. Don’t get it twisted, I do enjoy my Oklahoma cutout and my OU colors. However I only have two arms and enjoy all types of bracelets.
Next time you stumble into someone’s world I suggest you do a bit more rooting around before making a snap judgement.
As far as the Bible goes, Jesus threw the money lendors out of the temple. And God definitely knows who I am, we converse a lot, every day, several times a day.
God bless your heart Tina, I pray you find the path to Jesus and stop hanging with the false prophet.

  21. Thank you for your thoughts on Rustic Cuff, Angie. I live in Tulsa and have been puzzled by the way the media and some people have gone completely bananas over Rustic Cuff. I have friends, including one who works for the Tulsa World and another who is part of Jill’s sales team, who are constantly sharing posts about RC promos or new pieces. I honestly don’t see what is so fabulous about some very ordinary-looking costume jewelry. To me, it all looks pretty cheap and junky. Those round, rhinestone-studded balls that make up a lot of the RC bracelets I’ve seen can be found for not much money at Hobby Lobby, on eBay or at online craft suppliers. There isn’t anything unique or eye-catching about them, in my opinion.

It just doesn’t seem the product matches the hype or is worth the retail price.

  22. I started making my own version of costume jewelry last year as a fund raiser for my daughter’s mission trip to Brazil. It’s been ongoing now for over a year long after T’s mission trip. I make a little profit off the bracelets but turn around and buy more beads and charms to make more. It’s more of a hobby now. In the process I came across the place that I get some of my blingy beads from (in another country) actually makes the whole bracelet for rustic cuff. I was in shock!!! Even the lowest end shamballa bracelet actually only costs about $5. That means over 4 times that is what is paid online from the brand name site. It’s no wonder so many people have jumped into the jewelry making hobby! Don’t get me wrong, I have 2 that I won at a silent auction fund raiser…but as for me and my house, we serve Jesus!!! And we make our own gifts ourselves! I love to make ladies smile when I give them a little bling. Thank you Angieworld for sharing!
