Hotworx and Menopause

I don’t know who I am anymore, Hotworx has taken two things I hate, combined them and created something I look forward to.

Heat and exercise, I loath both, but somehow in an infrared sauna I find both invigorating and cleansing at the same time.

I need to ask a question, to other people who do this on a regular basis. Or rather not a question, maybe a question, I don’t know.

Ok, here is the thing, I am sleeping super hard and waking up like I am just coming off of a two day drunk. I assume this is what that feels like, also my mouth is super dry when I wake up and feels really gross. More than just morning breath, so happy I live alone, so gross.

I sweat so much, and from places I didn’t know sweat glands existed, like my arms, not under my arms, but my actual arms. I didn’t know that sweating arms were a thing, but apparently it is.

Maybe I just have a lot of toxins in my body, who knows, but it is all coming out. I sleep a solid 7 to eight hours a night and it is a wonderful thing.

Does anyone else experience this and what does it mean? If you have any answers I would appreciate it if you shared them.  I think we all want to know, also my dreams have been very realistic lately.

Menopause is still happening, I read it can go on for 10 years, that’s a long time to battle this thing, that happens to all women. Everywhere. No escape. I take so many supplements, and I literally hate taking pills of any kind.

My doctor in Owasso once told me I’d make a horrible drug addict due to that fact. He was right, I hate taking pills, I always have, but since I am seeing results I am continuing in this journey.

I have to say my hair is super thick and my skin looks amazing, which apparently is something that most women lose during menopause.

I highly suggest collagen and supplements, also Fitish hair serum, that is really great for your hair. Oh and since starting with the Hotworx workouts, the weight is also coming off. I am very happy with that, my clothes are fitting differently and I feel lighter.

I am going to post the website to my exercise place, they have them all over. They are cost effective as well, I highly recommend them if you are like me and hate exercising, this is amazing, it also has an amazing recovery time.

With any other place I have been in severe pain for weeks after starting an exercise routine, with this I have had no pain. If you are my agish, I would highly suggest this, also if you have joint pain I would also suggest this workout place.

I hope you all have had a good week and enjoy your weekend. As usual any questions, comments, suggestion or criticisms can be left here or sent to me at angie@angieworld.com.

Menopause Update

It has been almost 30 days since I started my journey to lessen the ravages of menopause. It has been harrowing at times, at times I just wanted to throw in the towel and find a cave. A very cold, dark cave, not because my soul is dark, but because of the hot flashes.

Instead I stayed the course, I rattle when I walk from all of the supplements I am taking, but it’s working.

I have to tell you that I did some research into menopause and the awfulness of it all. There are so many things that happen to women! Did you know joint pain is common during menopause? I did not, and I have been having massive pain in my thumb joint on my left hand. So random and it has been hurting since January. I know, your next question is well why didn’t you go to the doctor.

I was busy, is one answer, and I was, January was a busy month, then it was my birthday month, then it was vacation time. Who has time for a doctors visit when your getting ready to for alien hunting in New Mexico? Or visiting family in Arizona? Hiking with a husky? Who has the time???

Just when I think ok, now I have time, the world imploded.  Doctors were not taking appointments if you didn’t have Covid. I don’t have Covid, so there you have it, I am happy to report I do have good news on the pain front.

First off I take so many supplements it literally takes me three hours every morning to get them down. I am not exaggerating, as most of you know, I have esophagus issues, taking pills is not an easy task.

So I have to take a couple wait, take a couple more, wait and so on and so on.

Here are my results so far:

My joint pain in my thumb is almost all gone, I am down to one hot flash a night, none during the day. I have way more energy and my memory is coming back.

Did you know memory loss is a symptom of menopause? So much fun!

Some women experience hair loss, mine is so thick it isn’t even funny. I do use collagen in my coffee every morning, I also use Doterra shampoo and conditioner and Fitish hair serum. I have so much new growth my hair line looks like a toddlers.

The weight, that is the biggest joke menopause plays on the majority of us. With all of the supplements and getting my body back internally, the weight is coming off. My cloths are fitting differently and I can see it in the mirror.

I am on the right track and it feels good, I also am sleeping 7 to 8 hours a night. Except for last night, but I think that was more thinking about my mom and not being able to sleep due to missing her so much.

So it was a one off, we need the sleep, our bodies use that time to heal and rejuvenate.

I will post pictures of all of the supplements I am taking on this post. I am not a doctor, I am not telling you to do this regimen, I am just giving you information on what is working for me.

Thank God I had no bone issues, because you lose bone density during menopause. I had a test, I’m good in that area, no brittle bones here.

I have said it before, I’ll say it again, it is not fair that we, women, have to go through this nonsense.

Throughout the beginning of time I do believe we have paid the price for Eve’s perfidy. it’s time to let up some now, maybe just get rid of this one thing. Or give men something, something equally as horrible, that would be awesome! If you could arrange that God I’d be really grateful.

ok, that is all I have for now, I hope you all have a great weekend and oh yes, it’s Dean Cain’s birthday today. And yes, he liked my tweet on Twitter. So yay me!

Have a great day and stay safe!

Micro Needling and Other Stuff

As you know I love beauty treatments, I will try anything once, a lot if I like it and see results. So, when this popped up on my radar I was instantly curious. Micro-needling, have you heard of it? I hadn’t, so I did some research and decided to give it a go, what can go wrong with needles all over your face?

To Amazon I went, I found a micro needler and ordered the one with the most reviews and the best reviews. What could go wrong with rolling needles all over ones face? It arrived, I read up on it further, people are saying it hurts, but what is beauty without pain.

I eagerly read the instructions, a first for me, I usually just dive head first and pay the price later. But, you know, needles. I cleaned my face really well, not only cleansing, but also with a toner for good measure, people had discussed infections. Oh Lord what did I get myself into?

I trudged on, I cleaned the micro needler with alcohol and began rolling the needles on my face.

It stung, it didn’t hurt and I didn’t bleed like some people said they had. I followed up with vitamin C serum, I liked it, I actually saw results after a few times. The lines around my eyes are lessening, and my skin feels tighter. What the micro needling is supposed to do is kickstart your collagen production. I’ll let you know in a month if it is really working or it was a placebo effect, or swelling from the needles.

Now, for the lead, which I buried, because I know my friends and family don’t really read me, but if I lead with this they might.

I go to work on Monday and find something incredibly ugly waiting for me. MOT, Mandatory Overtime, I don’t enjoy overtime, I avoid it like the plague. My third level manager was walking past me, as he does most days and most days I smile and greet him. That morning, not so much, I said Jason, I am not happy. He said oh no, why! I said MOT. He said he was trying to get that rescinded, I said if he could do that he would be my favorite Jason. Here is where it gets a little tricky, I have a favorite Jason, my second cousin as a matter of fact. But since has no control over my overtime situation I was more than willing to kick his favoritism to the curb and give it to bossman Jason. He said ok, I’m holding you to that. An hour later I see an email in my inbox, MOT has been rescinded! A little while after that BMJ (Bossman Jason) walks past my desk and hands me an envelope with a note in it. I shall tell you what the note said, sans last names:

The “Other” Jason –

You are not respectfully bumped to the #2 position of “Jason’s” on Angie’s list.

Sincerely,

#1 Jason

Best note ever! Gotta love a boss (even if they are three steps removed) who has a sense of humor.

I’m so sorry cousin Jason, I love you dearly, but no MOT! That’s huge!

MOT was done away with and I got to come home to a Fat Cat and a Husky Dog. Not a bad life.
