Another Monday, another beginning, another chance to make things better in the world. Or at least your part of the world. Incredibly optimistic for a Monday, I will admit however since this is fueled by caffeine, you will have to forgive the peppiness.
I helped a friend move from their 3rd floor apartment this weekend. This morning I do believe my legs have fallen off. Trying to get out of bed was a monumental feat. I literally thought I was going to die. As I am telling you this my legs are very literally screaming at me. I don’t know how to answer them. I left early today to ensure I had enough time to walk from the parking lot to my desk. Yes it is really that bad.
The upside is, it was so scorchingly hot I do believe I sweated off several pounds.
I am so tired today, as sleep was elusive last night, every time I moved the pain woke me up. Ugh, I seriously hate muscle pain as it reminds me that I really should workout to achieve complete thinness.
Ok, so, on twitter, Scott Baio had posted a picture of his refrigerator and asked his followers to do the same. Innocent enough, I, for one, enjoyed seeing what everyone was posting, very fun. Someone suggested this would make a great reality show, with Scott and his family choosing with whom to have dinner with based on the goodies in the fridge. Great fun, everything chiming in, posting pictures, then comes the one, and there is always one. The skank, the trashy woman who posts something so inappropriate that Scott Baio has to block her. Well, Mrs Baio sees the tweet and grabs her husbands IPad and addresses it right then and there. I say good for her, if more women reacted I do believe the skanks would get the messaged, eventually. I myself have responded swiftly and decisively when women have been inappropriate toward the Irishman. I dont’ put up with nonsense either.
It’s crazy that women don’t think anything about saying or doing really nasty things in social media or email, text messages or phone calls. They don’t think there will be any consequences, I do believe Mrs. Baio and women like her (me included) are teaching them a lesson one woman at a time. I will say this here and now, someone is always watching and you will always be found out and there will always be consequences
Good for Mrs Baio for reacting swiftly and decisively.
Well it is Monday and I need an amazing amount of caffeine to help me through this day. I hope you all have a fantastic day and remember reacting to a situation in a swift manner is always best.
Great Monday
Monday was not so bad after all, our new shifts came out and I got what I wanted. 6 AM to 5PM with Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday off. Not too bad, I can still work out after work and have plenty of time before bed for household chores and TV viewing. Then not one but 2 Joss Whedon Alums on television last night. A new Bones and Castle on the same night! A dream come true! It seems something else happened yesterday and I cannot for the life of me remember what. I am losing my mind, or memory, or both. Oh I remember, I have Friday off, Tess is coming to spend the night Thursday night and all day Friday! I am seeing pink pancakes in our future, homemade Easter sugar cookies and an adventure! So excited. That girl is so much fun and I just love spending time with her. She is so smart and funny, not to mention adorable and beyond cute.
Today is Zumba day, I can’t wait, I love doing Zumba, not like working out at all, it is an hour of dancing. That I can handle! Ok, people, I have to go get ready for work now, the sooner I begin, the sooner it ends and I am Zumbaing my way to skinnyness!
My Monday So Far
Well Monday has found us again, I tried to hide, I really did, covers over the head and everything, but alas it did no good. Monday came like it always does, always predictable, nearly always a calamity. Today will be good, there I said it, I mean it and it will happen!
Weekend was filled with hair going away, girls getting their new dresses I ordered from Ruelala, and seeing Tessa. All in all a good weekend.
Oh yes, one April Fools joke, the Irishman and I changed our relationship status to married, no, not married, still engaged. Perhaps we shall stay engaged forever, who knows, not even I can answer that.
Well, it is off to work I go, I find out today if I got the tour I wanted, I really hope I did. I am looking forward to having 3 days off during the week. If I get the one I really want, I will work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, having off Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. How great is that? Work 2 days, off one, work one then off two. I will let you all know if I get that tour. It means working 6 am to 5 pm, but that is ok, I can do that, 6 is still later than 5. Wish me luck!
Goodbye Tuesday, Hello Monday
Well, Tuesday we meet again, I know that you know that you used to be my favorite day of the week, I know that you are resentful that you are no longer my favorite day. It’s not my fault! Buffy went off the air, Tuesday is no longer as exciting as it once was, I no longer anticipate you with glee, I’m sorry Tuesday. Now I just wake up tired and wishing it were Monday again so I could see the new Castle. I am so sorry, I wish I loved you as much as I used to, I know too well the feelings of abandonment you must feel, cast aside for something younger, newer, fresher and with Nathan Fillion in it. If only a show came on Tuesday nights that had Dean Cain, then you would once again find favor in my life. But for now, Tuesday, you are no longer the favored day.
Zumba day is today, oh look Tuesday, something I love about you again, I realize you have to share that with Thursday, but cheer up, perhaps you will be the light of my life once again.
Monday = Funday
I have decided that Monday’s are not to be had, I am decreeing from this point forward that the day of the week formerly known as Monday shall be known as Funday. We will all have fun in the world of Angie.
Well, I did it, I saw One for the Money, or should I say we saw it, the Irishman took me to see it, and I loved it! They should begin filming Two for the Dough immediately. I have to say Sherrie Shepherd looked and acted just like I imagined Lula to be. She did a great job. They all did kudos for bringing to life some of my favorite characters. Have I mentioned I have met the author of the books? Well, yes indeed I have, Janet Evanovich, very nice, love her writing, have all of the Stephanie Plum books.
Saturday was spent with Elizabeth Anne, getting her birthday present, the IPhone 4S, I hope she is happy with it; she is a good daughter and deserves something special. We had dinner with Jeffrey and Freddy that evening. The Irishman was working and Alex is in Mexico, so it was just us. A good time was had by all; Jeffrey had frog legs, that was interesting.
Sunday was Brunch with Louise and Wanda planning the birthday party for Al. Lots of decisions were made and planning phase accomplished. So excited to see everything come together for such a great lady.
Well, happy Funday everyone, go out and make it happen.
