Not a Hillbilly

I feel the need to start off by stating I am not a hillbilly, I am not homophobic, racist, xenophobic or any other phobic Hillary Clinton called me. I am a white, middle-aged, college educated woman, who works in a white collar industry.
According to every poll out there, I should be voting for a woman. Hillary Clinton to be exact. I am not. I will be voting for Donald Trump. This entry is not to defend my choice, I don’t feel I have to, I believe it should be obvious to everyone who is an American.
However, I will explain why I am not voting or Hillary Clinton, and it is not because I believe a woman cannot rule. I very much think women can rule; I rule a universe. It takes the right woman, a woman of her word, one that does not lie, one that does not do questionable actions.
Let’s dive in shall we:
Clinton continually attacks Donald Trump on all of her leaked emails. She blames him saying he encouraged Russia to leak them. Interesting. Let’s take a look at her dealings with Russia.
Donations to the Clinton Foundation were closely linked to a uranium mining company tied to the Kremlin. Canadian leaders of a mining company funneled millions of dollars to the foundation while Clinton was secretary of state, at the same time they needed Department of State approval for the sale of their company to Russia. The Clinton State Department-approved deal gave Russia control of one-fifth of the entire uranium supply in the U.S. One-fifth of the entire uranium supply in the United States of American, it bore repeating. Am I the only one troubled by this?
The chairman of the uranium mining company donated $2.35 million to the Clinton foundation, without any disclosure from the Clintons. After Russia announced its intention to make a bid for the uranium mining company, former President Bill Clinton was paid $500,000 to deliver a speech in Moscow.
Follow the money, I don’t understand how this is shocking, we are talking about a couple that stole from the White House, i.e. the American People, on their way out of office. They had to return everything.
So we see Clinton’s ties to Russia, clearly, where is Donald Trump’s ties?
Oh yes, I remember, Vladimir Putin was asked what he thought about Donald Trump. He laughed and said he was flamboyant, which he thought was good. Trump in turn said that Putin was a better leader than Barack Obama, he’s not wrong. Now, before you started pulling up the box to climb on your high horse, allow me to explain my reasoning. I do not agree with the way the Russian leader leads, however, lead he does. The supposed leader of our country says things like I have a pen and a phone, that’s not leadership in a democratic republic, that’s dictatorship.
On to the middle east:
The Clinton Foundation accepted donations from several foreign governments while Clinton served as secretary of state, including Algeria, Kuwait, Qatar, and Oman.
In the instance of Algeria, the Clinton Foundation did say to The Washington Post in 2015 it should have sought clearance from the Department of State’s ethics office before taking $500,000. However, they didn’t give the money back. After Clinton left office, the foundation received a large donation from the United Arab Emirates.
Clinton Foundation officials ignored nearly all “best practices” urged by good governance organizations, a July Daily Caller News Foundation investigation found. When Donald Trump challenged Clinton to give back the donations from countries that abuse women and homosexuals, a DCNF investigation found it would amount to between $19.3 million and $55.7 million. She smirked, it was there for all to see. She takes money from countries that have a practice of throwing gay people off of buildings. But wait, I thought Trump supporters were the homophobes? I’m so confused. She took money from countries where women have no rights, wait, I thought Trump was the anti-woman candidate.
He urged her to give the money back, she smirked, please, please, for the love of all that is holy, what is so funny about throwing gay people off of buildings? What is so funny about women being regularly abused and having no rights?
Let’s discuss what everyone is up in arms about regarding Donald Trump, let’s start with an eleven-year-old recording of really crude talk with another man. Was it disgusting? Yes. Was I offended? No. I have heard worse at work from women. If you have never heard anyone use crude words or talk about the opposite sex in this fashion, well, good for you. Or even the same sex. I’ve heard way worse than this from gay friends. Do I believe the women that are now coming out saying he groped them? No. Where were they when he won the nomination? That would have been the time to come out.
Also their accusations are falling like house of cards. It is also coming out how Hillary Clinton, the DNC and AUC (Americans United for Change) have all colluded together to incite violence at Donald Trump rallies.
Just in case you were curious, that is illegal, Trump supporters on the other hand, did not go to Hillary rallies (were there any) and incite violence.
I am not voting for Hillary Clinton for so many reasons, these are just a few.
I am not a hillbilly, I am not uneducated, I am not poor, most of all, I am not blind.
Trump is not perfect, but there is no doubt in my mind, he loves this country. He has taken no donations from large super pacs. In fact, when the Koch brothers approached him, he told them no.
His donations come from small donors, people, working people. Then he matches it with his own money. He pays his women executives on level or better than the men that work for him.
Hillary cannot say the same, in fact the women that work at the Clinton Foundation make 38% less than their male counterparts. Wait I thought she was all about helping women? So confused.
There is a video, of Donald Trump, it is long, roughly 20 minutes, that chronicles him from the 1980’s to present. His message has been consistent, he has never wavered in his love of this country and his commitment to making it better. His charitable acts are not getting the light of day for some reason. That was sarcasm people, we know why MSM is not reporting them. I am going to post both videos here.
I would also encourage you to go look at the Veritas Project, doing what journalists should be doing.

Peaceful Assembly

I am proudly from Oklahoma; I don’t believe I have ever hidden that fact. I preface what I am about to say with that for good reason.
I follow several news outlets from my home state, a few days ago there was a news article regarding some students at OU staging a protest.
Now, before I continue, this is not about what they were protesting, I don’t believe that is the important issue at hand at this point. What this is about is their right to protest.
With so many people protesting the wrong way, rioting, looting, harming people, beating them, shooting them and burning neighborhoods down, this group exercised their First Amendment Right, the correct way.
They stage a peaceful protest, let me say it again, peaceful. They followed the rules of not only the Constitution of the United States of America, they behaved the way we are supposed to in a civilized society.
At the moment I read the article, I was proud of this group of young people, once again, not for what they were protesting, but in the manner they went about it. The correct way, the legal way, the civilized way, the Oklahoma way.
I scrolled down to the comments, because, well, let’s face it, these days that is the best part of the internet. Best/worst, take your pick.
People were vicious in their attack upon these protesters. I thought, what! Are you kidding me? They are literally rioting in the streets in some states. Being destructive, unproductive, unlawful, and these young people exercised their First Amendment Rights the correct way and you want to vilify them for that?
Of course I could not contain myself, perhaps I should have, but I would not be me if I had. I commented on how I didn’t understand the name calling in the comments and how the students had been within their rights to protest. It doesn’t matter what they were protesting they were within their rights to do so. As long as they obey the rules of the land I am going to defend their right to protest.
Of course at that point I opened myself up to attack, and did they. I was called names; I was called a Hillary supporter (which to me is the worst) I was vilified.
I find it shocking, that we, as Americans, don’t recognize civility and law-abiding people when we are told about them.
How are people so completely ignorant of the law? How are people so completely ignorant of our constitution? I hear it misquoted all the time. I hear people quoting the preamble as the actual constitution. Where did all of the civics classes go? Did people not attend them? Mind you the people spouting these things are roughly my age. No excuses. I grew up in Oklahoma, I was taught what it means to be an American. I was taught that all people were created equal. I was taught the First Amendment is our most important one, as it opens the door to the rest of them.
If we didn’t have Freedom of Speech, Freedom of the Press, the right to peaceful assembly, we wouldn’t have any of the others.
Freedom comes with a price, it is the price of obeying the laws, of knowing your rights and exercising them.
I commend this group of students at OU for exercising their First Amendment right to peaceful assembly.
There it is, peaceful, non-violent, they didn’t incite a riot, they didn’t scream obscenities, they didn’t beat innocent bystanders, they didn’t loot Norman, they didn’t start fires. They peacefully assembled.
If you have any comments that are vicious in nature, I will delete them. As this is AngieWorld and I write the constitution of that world. However, my email address is angie@angieworld.

Officer Tommy M Norman

I love Snoop Dogg, there I said it, judge me if you will, but I have this deep love of Snoop. Not his music so much, as I am not in his demographic, not a race thing (before anyone can get started on that) it’s an age thing. I think I have well established I am incredibly old. I still love all things Motown and Disco, not to mention CCR, Foreigner, Kiss, John Williams and anything Christian Kane. If anyone took a good look at my playlist they would probably think three of four people listen to what is in there. I am very eclectic. Did I mention TSO? I love classical music as well.
So, having said all of that, I love Snoop Dogg due to the interviews I have seen. He is thoughtful, respectful, thought-provoking and refreshingly honest. He also seems to have a desire to make his community better, he coached his son’s football team. He does a lot more than just rap.
Of course I follow him on Facebook and that is where I saw the video of him and a fellow rapper name The Game. They led a march to the police station in Los Angeles. It was not an anti-police march; it was a let’s work together march. He and The Game proceeded to meet with officials to find out what not only the police could do better, but what the community could do better as well.
Which brings me to the point of all of this, I was curious about The Game, having never heard of him, because once again, not in his demographic.
I stalked his Facebook page and happened upon a post he wrote regarding his son. His son was discouraged with all that was going on in the world and asked his dad if there was anything positive happening. He encouraged his son to really look for something positive, for someone doing positive things.
His son stumbled upon Officer Tommy M Norman out of North Little Rock, Arkansas. He was so amazed by what this police officer was doing in his community he set up a Go Fund Me page to raise funds so the officer could continue to do what he does.
What he does is patrol his assigned community with humility, humor and heart. So much heart. I instantly took myself over to Instagram to look this man up. His handle @tnorman23, on Instagram is filled with his daily adventures.
I have become a huge fan, I watch these videos daily, my favorites are Davey, Lois, Officer Aaron and Wilbur. I highly encourage anyone who is having a tough time in life to check him out. If his posts and videos do not bring a smile to your face and warm your heart you are not human.
The Game’s son asked his dad if this man was rich, is that how he is able to bring things to the people in the community.
Officer Norman passes out snacks and juices to the children and even the adults on his beat. The Game told his son that when someone is so poor a little goes a long way.
The community that Officer Norman patrols is not a rich area by any means. It is a lower-income area, and it is one he knows well as he grew up in the very neighborhood he now watches over.
I am in awe of this man and the way the people love him, children run up to his patrol car when they see him. They shower him with hugs and affection, in return he treats them like they matter. And they do.
He has been there so long he is actually getting to see the harvest of the seeds he has sown. Children going to college now, attributing it in part, to Officer Norman’s encouragement of them.
From his trips through the drive-thru at the local McDonald’s, where he jokingly gives Mariah No Carey a hard time, to checking on Officer Aaron and the gang, to taking time out to actually attempt the slip-n-slide in a child’s front yard. He is there, he is present, he is approachable.
Please take a minute out of your day to find him on Facebook and Instagram, I promise you it will renew your faith in humanity.
As always, you can reach me at angie@angieworld.com

Weddings and Funerals

I have often said I like funerals better than weddings, it’s not because I am morbid or have a particular interest in the macabre. It is due to the fact that I was exposed to funerals way before I ever attended a wedding.
I was raised not only by old people, but I was surrounded by them as well. I was born the youngest in a family that was well established and had an inordinate amount of members that were born in the late 1800’s into the early 1900’s.
My parents pre-payed and planned their funerals in the early 1970’s. Every funeral we went to my mom would say oh don’t do that at mine or oh that’s a really good idea, I want that.
I fully admit I inherited that trait, I have been planning my funeral way before I planned a wedding for myself. To me a funeral is for the living, a way to say goodbye, to honor a life well lived. It is typically when someone is older and has had a full life. I have only been to two who were not old and I felt it was way before their time to go.
Yesterday was for one of those people, it was a shocking piece of news. Hearing that someone we had just spent time with two days prior had passed away.
He was young, my age, and to our knowledge had no health issues. So to get the news that he was gone was indeed jarring.
I admit I didn’t know him well, I met him and his wife through the Irishman. He was a big sports fan and was a fan of the soccer team the Irishman loves. They have a huge fan club here in North Texas and that is where they met and formed a friendship.
I would come to know them as just really good people, nice, funny, caring and sweet. They were very much in love with each other, devoted to each other. He was very simply a really nice man, that is the highest compliment I can give someone, he was genuinely nice. Kind of quiet, I could tell he was one of those people who has a gentle soul. His wife, definitely complimented his personality as she is outgoing, friendly and devoted to him and her family.
I was privileged to attend the wedding of this man and his wife, not even a year ago. It was a wedding I have often said was the perfect wedding. In a beautiful, older church, the minister was sweet, funny and spoke eloquently and knew the couple. Then the reception was punch, cake and a few appetizers. All done by the couple’s families.
The funeral was as perfect as the wedding, the song Layla by Eric Clapton, the live version, was played. I had to smile as it struck me that I wish I had known him better. This is something I often plan, my funeral, with not typical songs played.
People spoke, my original assessment of him was not changed, kind, genuine, funny, devoted to his family and friends were words that were said often.
My heart breaks for his wife; this was a funeral I truly wish had never happened.
I will be praying for his wife, mother, daughters and step-sons in the coming days, weeks, months and years they have to spend apart from this man.
I wish I had known him better, I am sorry that everyone had to say goodbye for a little while to this man. I am grateful to have had the privilege of attending their wedding and his send-off.
As usual you can send any feed-back to angie@angieworld.com

Happy Birthday Jeffrey

Life is so fleeting, it’s a lesson I learned well before you were born. I loved you before I met you face to face, you were this amazing miracle that happened.

I’m so proud to be your mom, I seriously cannot imagine a better 1st son  than you.

You were an incredibly bright, funny, thoughtful little boy that grew up to be an incredibly intelligent, wickedly funny and beyond thoughtful.

On this day, your birthday, I get to gush about how proud I am of you and how much I love you.

I can hardly believe it’s been 31 years since you were born. It feels like it was just a minute ago you were asking me to play with you in your box. Telling me you wanted to grow up to work on fire trucks because firemen needed them to work all the time.

I have always been and continue to be amazed by you.

I love you son, happy birthday!

I Tried to Contain Myself

You might want to buckle up, it’s going to be awfully bumpy in a just a few words.
August 29, 2005 Hurricane Katrina wreaked havoc on Louisiana, President George W. Bush waited two days before leaving his vacation after. He then flew over to access the damage by air. He was vilified in the paper, the main stream media, Kanye West infamously said “George Bush hates black people.”
Flash forward, August 15, 2016, massive flash flooding, thousands of people displaced, so far 13 lives lost, loss of home, possessions, clothes and basic necessities of everyday life.
Current, sitting President Barack Obama, still vacationing, playing golf daily with celebrities and other wealthy people. Oh, except when he takes time off to do fund raising for the DNC and Hillary Clinton.
Main stream media, crickets, silence, I have in fact seen people defending his behavior, the very people who vilified President Bush.
There have been no visits, not even a plan to visit until AFTER GOP Nominee Donald J. Trump went to Louisiana. Not only went but took a semi-trailer full of relief items, basic necessity items and even put in school supplies for children. The news media on that, oh look he did a 49 seconds worth of work taking things off the truck.
However, after a little digging, he paid for the truck, he paid for what was in the truck and he did help unload. The time amount I am unsure of, however, if it was 49 seconds, I’m guessing he left as not to cause any delays in unloading the truck. He didn’t announce his arrival, he didn’t demand roads be closed, he didn’t demand local police escort him. He used his own security, and yes, we, the people, are paying for the Secret Service coverage for him, however he has his own private security as well.
He then met with people who have been hit hard by the flooding, in private, no press, not a photo opportunity as the Governor sarcastically said it was. He showed caring, in a time of need, he showed empathy, he showed that he is the man his children and close friends have been saying he is.
I have said it all along, I have never been a huge fan of Donald Trump, however, when one does the research and one looks back at interviews he has given since the 1980’s, his political views and his views of this country have never changed.
I saw Hillary Clinton’s commercial where she says children are listening to him, I am going to take umbrage to that, children learn by example.
Hillary’s example has been abysmal at best, at worst horrifying, and yes Mr. Trump is bombastic in nature, he is crude at times, he has a tendency to say what he thinks, however, he is not wrong about a lot of things.
He did not say that he was going to send all Mexicans back to Mexico, what he said is he would send ILLEGAL ALIENS back to their home countries, no matter where they are from. As for the infamous “wall” on the border of here and Mexico, do you not realize who is coming in through those areas? It is not just poor people from Mexico, people go to Mexico to specifically sneak into the U.S. Because that is the place that lacks the funds to catch everyone coming into the country ILLEGALLY. I feel the need to shout that word as everyone gets it wrong.
He wants to do away with giving handouts, I’m all for that, I want handups, he wants to put people back to work.
Let’s take a look at some of the most poverty stricken cities in the United States of America and who runs them:
Number 1, Detroit, Michigan, ran by Democrats since 1961.
Number 2, Buffalo, New York, ran by Democrats since 1954.
Number 3, Cincinnati, Ohio, ran by Democrats since 1984.
Number 4, Cleveland, Ohio, ran by Democrats since 1989
Number 5, Miami, Florida, ran by Democrats since, well forever.

Those are the top 5 in the country, I could go on, but I believe my point has been made. We need to create jobs, real jobs, that will enable people to work themselves out of poverty.
Hillary Clinton has flat out said she will raise taxes on the middle class, don’t believe me, have a look:

I am considered middle class; I can’t afford another tax increase.
Let’s take a look at the difference in refugee policies, Mr. Trump wants to put a halt to it until we can come up with a better vetting system, to date the DOD admits that they have no system to vet these people properly. They couldn’t even properly vet a woman coming over on a fiancé visa, she flat out lied on her application and no one checked it out. She put a false address, her Facebook was filled with declarations of allegiance to ISIS and what did we do? Rolled out the welcome matt. What did she do? She, along with her husband killed 14 people and seriously injured 22, it was not a violence in the workplace incident as our current president would have you believe. It was a terrorist attack acted out by two people who had pledged allegiance to ISIS. On our home soil.
We need to be able to vet people coming from countries known to be hotbeds of terrorist activities until we can get a better vetting system in place.
This is not racist, it is not being a xenophobic, it is common sense.
Hillary Clinton has said that abortion is ok with her up until the moment of delivery. She has said that a woman can abort a child that is full term. She didn’t bat an eye and people cheered. Don’t believe me? Take a look:

Children learn by example, what are our children learning?

I am a Christian, I am educated, I am not a blue collar worker, I will be voting for Donald J. Trump simply because I cannot in good conscience vote in a woman like Hillary Clinton, our children deserve better.

My Thoughts on Simone Biles

Anyone who knows me well knows that I do not watch sports, so it should come as no surprise that I do not watch the Olympics. However, having said that, I do pay attention when our team (U.S.A.) wins medals. What caught my attention was Simone Biles, she defies gravity, she is graceful, athletic, amazing and dignified.
I say dignified, because what caught my attention about her at first was not her athleticism, it was the social media storm that involved a thoughtless comment from an announcer, Al Trautwig, he said on-air that Simone was raised by her grandfather and his wife and calls them mom and dad.
Well, it turns out while in truth her parents are biologically her grandfather and his wife, they are actually her parents due to a little thing known as legal adoption.
I have to tell ya my hackles were raised by this comment, being a fellow adoptee that was legally adopted by older relatives (my great aunt and uncle) this made my blood boil.
He then went on to make things worse when he tweeted “They may be mom and dad but they are NOT her parents,” the tweet has since been deleted.
This really made me want to find this guy and educate him on legal adoption.
My mom and dad may not have been my biological mother and father, but they were my mom and dad in the eyes of the law and I have to believe God.
Adoption is a covenant between an adult and a child that the adult will care for them, love them, put their well-being before their own, raise them, educate them and be there for the rest of their lives.
Sounds like parents to me, I read what Simone Biles had to say about the whole thing and this is where I am so impressed by this young lady, her only comment was “My parents are my parents and that’s it.”
I feel that way as well Simone, my parents are my parents and that’s it.
I decided to read up on her back story and it struck home how similar our stories are, her birth mother was incapable of taking care of her and her sister. They were shuffled around for a while, she to different foster homes, me to my grandparents and other places.
Then a family member stepped up and said I want them, she went on to say in the article I read that she remembered the first time she called Nellie Biles mom. The girls had been calling them grandpa and grandma, they told the girls they could call them mom and dad if they wanted to, it was their decision.
She went into her bedroom and practiced saying the words, mom, dad, over and over. Then she walked back into the kitchen and said “mom?” Her mother turned around and said “yes?”
And that was that.
Very much like my experience, I was calling mine Aunt Odela and Uncle Foy, after the adoption the scene in my home was very much the same.
They were my mom and dad, adoption is a real thing, it is a bond, a covenant between an adult and a child. I will be your guide through this world, I will teach you right from wrong, I will be there when you fail, I will be there when you succeed. You will not be able to shake me off.
What this reporter said was thoughtless and uneducated, I am going to assume he had great parents from birth and doesn’t understand what adoption is and what it means. I do hope he educates himself and feels bad for what he said.
After my adoption there were several people in my family, I will not say names, that would introduce me “this is Angie, she isn’t real”.
No one will ever know what that did to my psyche, it was already fragile and that fractured it further. Until, my mother, my amazingly beautiful mother, told me this: With the rest of them I got whatever God gave me, but you, you I got to choose.
I’ve never forgotten it, as I have never forgotten her final words to me: You have been the most pleasant surprise.
She got to choose me and it was a pleasant surprise, giving birth does not guarantee you will be a good parent. I hope my children think I am a good parent as I gave birth to them.
But I will tell you my mom, my mom was the best mom that God ever created, when He created her I believe He should have used her blueprints for all moms. But alas our world doesn’t work that way and not everyone gets to have a mom and dad like I had.
From the sounds of it, Simone Biles has gotten to have a mom and dad like I had. For that I am incredibly happy for her.

Tears in Heaven

This coming week is always a difficult one. Every year like clockwork it comes. August ninth then August eleventh. Both days, so close together.

I was sitting here watching television, the Irishman listening to music in the other room. I hear it, I mute my television, it’s Eric Clapton, Tears in Heaven.

The song he wrote after his son died, the first time I listened to the lyrics it literally took my breath. He sang everything I have thought since losing Michael.

Would you know my name, would you take my hand, would it be the same. I think those thoughts and to this day I miss him so much. His birthday is August 9, 1984, he was beautiful and perfect.

His short life was filled with laughter and love, 12 weeks was just not enough time. I look forward to the day I get to see him again. I hope he knows me, I hope he takes my hand and that it will be the same.

August 11, 2003 is when my mom went home. The event was a mixture of loss, sadness and joy. Yes, joy, my mother longed to be with my dad. He was the love of her life, since she was five years old. She had missed him for 10 years before joining him. The last few of those years was spent with Alzheimer’s robing her of her memories.

She told me once she wanted to go home, I knew what she meant. I said you will, she looked at me with the saddest expression. She said I don’t know, they tell me I do things when I’m not in my right mind. I said it’s ok, God knows who you are and know Jesus is in your heart and soul. He’s ok with you in either mind. She smiled brightly and said alright then and we continued our conversation.

I asked her what she thought she would do first when she would finally get to go home. She said she imagined she’d have her meeting at the throne of God, then she would give her daddy-o a big hug.

I always imagine her doing just that, what a joyous day for her, getting to go home and be with the loves of her life. Jesus and my dad.

It doesn’t mean I miss her less, it just means I’m good with her no longer being in pain from her broken heart.

Open Letter to Jude Deveraux

So, I was on Facebook, were we know all the best stuff is, sometimes I wonder if my sarcasm comes across in my writing. Anyway, that was sarcasm.
My favorite author, Jude Deveraux, has a fan page on Facebook, she interacts regularly, keeping all of her loyal fans updated on what she is working on and even sharing her travel adventures with us. She is very open on the page about her writing process and even her dealings with her publishing house and editors.
I find it fascinating, that look into the publishing world and how it works and how an editor has the power to just rip into someone’s artistic process and demand changes that are not within the storyline.
Reading her posts, I often wonder why E. L. James didn’t have such an editor, or even a grammar checker. I digress.
Recently Ms. Deveraux shared her frustrations with her new editor, valid frustrations, the new editor is either not familiar with her work, fan base or her status in the romance writing field, but she was way off base with the changes she wanted her to make.
I say this, as I have read every single book this woman has written and the changes would not have made sense, as the book is part of a series, and it would not have been anything that was a fun read.
Well, it seems the internet trolls had to rear their ugly heads and had harsh things to say to my favorite author. Instead of addressing them, I would like to write an open letter to my favorite author.

Dear Ms. Deveraux,

I want to tell you how much I love your writing, your books have transported me to the 1600’s and back again to modern times. I have time traveled, I have experienced opera singing in the 1800’s, I have gotten a glimpse into the rough and tumble world of gangster life in the 1920’s. I have lived vicariously through your writings for years.
I often wonder what has happened to the characters after the book ends, the mark of a truly good writer I might add. However, you have given us a look at certain characters and what happens to them, in Sweet Liar we saw Dougless from A Knight in Shining Armor was pregnant with her first child. In your latest book, The Girl from Summer Hill, we get to see more of Kit Montgomery, he’s one of my favorites and has made appearances in several of your books.
I love the interactions of the Taggert’s and Montgomery’s, the way the families intertwine and how it all started in The Raider.
I want to travel to Warbrooke, Maine to Chandler, Colorado and Lanconia, I want to go to all of the fictional homes, cities and countries where the characters are from that you write about.
Your works have gotten me through a divorce, the death of my father, my mother and through countless other happenings in my life.
I hope the thoughtless, rude words of a few will not outweigh the many who thoroughly enjoy your writings, your words, your characters.
As soon as one of your books hit the market I have to have it, I want it in hardback, I cannot wait for paperback and I do not enjoy an e-reader. I want to hold the book in my hand and turn the pages. When I first started reading you there was no Amazon or even a Barnes and Noble. I went to the local bookstore where I live and I would pre-order you. It got to the point to where the owner of the store would call me as soon as they got word of your drop date. And they would save my copy for me to come and pick it up. Alas that bookstore is no more, but I still have my fond memories of it.
There are only four authors that I buy in hard back, you are my number one.

Sincerely,

Angie (a major fan)

As usual, if anyone has any thoughts or comments they do not want to say on my site you can email me at angie@angieworld.com

Stacy

Here I sit, contemplating my words, should I measure my speech or go all out? All out it is.

I really never thought I would get to write this, for 34 years this day has caused me deep grief. Today it gives me great joy.

Happy Birthday Stacy,

34 years ago today I thought I had given up all rights to tell you happy birthday. To tell you that your birth was not a cause for pain but a reason for celebrating.

The pain this day used to cause me was not due to you being born but being separated from you.

I know without a doubt I made the right decision, allowing a stable, steady couple raise you. The thought never stemmed the missing you, especially on this day.

I’m incredibly fortunate that you chose to seek me out when you were older. I’ll be forever grateful you did.

I’m proud of the adult you are, even though I played no part in getting you there.

You’re a great human, an amazing mother and an incredible woman.

Happy Birthday!!

Angela
