Today I had the best time recording Conversations with Shanon, we even had a guest in, Pastor Purvey from Antioch Baptist Church in Dallas, he is a youth minister there. We talked about teen curfews, you will want to tune in for this one if you are raising teenagers. We also recorded several other shows that will air in January. Some hard-hitting topics that you will not want to miss.
Poor Shanon J was witness to a full on, in person, Angie Rant, this was about taxes and what our money is spent on. I said that they need to start with the bottom and work their way up. That is what we do when we budget our own households, cut out the small things and work our way to the big one.
I believe funding for Planned Parenthood needs to go, let me tell you why, because when this was started it was started by a woman, Margaret Sanger, who spoke of sterilizing those she designated as “unfit,” a plan she said would be the “salvation of American civilization.: And she also spike of those who were “irresponsible and reckless,” among whom she included those ” whose religious scruples prevent their exercising control over their numbers.” She further contended that “there is no doubt in the minds of all thinking people that the procreation of this group should be stopped.” That many Americans of African origin constituted a segment of Sanger considered “unfit” cannot be easily refuted.
I don’t want to pay for abortions anymore, there I said it, I mean it, I am done paying for this, on this continent and abroad.
I also believe funding for PBS needs to be done, with the licensing rights to all muppet characters on Sesame Street belonging to Sesame Street, they can easily fund themselves. Jim Henson gave them the means to be independent, PBS regularly does fund-raising, if you love these programs please give your money. I am tired of using mine, I gladly gave when my children were small and enjoyed these programs.
Let’s start small then move on to the bigger issues, this is how you balance a budget, this is how you get rid of unwanted spending. You do not raise salaries of congress-people, judges and other government officials, you do not then raise taxes on the poor and middle class. Shame on you Congress for doing this to us, cut your salary and health care, then we’ll talk.
