The Good, The Bad and The Ugly of My 7 Day Squeezed Online Cleanse

Well here it is folks, the good, the bad and the ugly of my 7 day Squeezed Online Juice Cleanse.

The first day was rough, drinking only juices, and it completely wiped me out. If you do this I suggest starting it on your off days from work.

The activated charcoal drink was the toughest to get down simply because of the grit. I joined a Facebook support group specifically for this product and someone suggested drinking it with a straw. That worked to cut down the grit, it wasn’t as noticeable. The activated charcoal one is very important as it really does help cleanse the kidneys.

Day two was a noticeable increase in energy, I wasn’t hungry until the end of the third day, so I went to bed.

I will tell you this, I missed having something hot, so I did end my days with Better than Buillion, it was only 15 calories and no carbs, so I felt that was ok. And it was a cup. My joint pain is also gone, it left the third day in, completely.

I didn’t miss eating, but I am not a big eater as it is, I have talked about before having esophagus issues, so this was really a vacation for my esophagus.

It was a vacation for my mouth, I didn’t have to chew, it was a vacation for my stomach, kidneys and digestive system. I truly feel healed, my heart burn as well went away.

I did a test this morning, I had coffee, and I am sad to report the heart burn came back with a vengeance. It looks like I may have to give up coffee, it is the acidity of it, I may try tea, hot tea, because it has no acidity. I am not giving up caffeine, I will miss coffee, I love the taste, the aroma, the whole experience of it all. But my health is way important than my likes and dislikes at this point in my life.

My clothes are also fitting differently, in just a week, things are looser and more comfortable.

If you are thinking about this and are having health issues like I was having, I highly suggest this cleanse, it is a little pricey, but worth it, you aren’t buying food for that week, so you are not spending on that. They have different lengths of cleanses, do what feels right for you. The link you can use is: https://www.squeezedonline.com/v3/Register.aspx?referralkey=118-110-104-112-53-82-98-105-109-101-52-61-

Last but not least, thank you to everyone who said a kind word or said a prayer for me on Michael’s birthday. His death effected more than myself, it effected his dad, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins as well. I never forget that, it also effects his siblings that never got the chance to meet him. Thank you all so much for all of your good thoughts, prayers and kind words. And thank you to his grandma Mike and Grandpa Reno for visiting him. It means more than they will ever know.

I will be giving my review of the book I talked about on Monday, An Angel Told Me So. It has actually been helping me this week, it is comforting.

As usual, any comments, questions or criticisms can be left here or sent to me at angie@angieworld.com.

Just a Day

August is a tough month, the beginning of August at least. Today is Michael’s Birthday, they say the pain of losing a child lessens as the years go by. They are wrong, the pain is always there we just become adept at hiding it.

I am incredibly adept at hiding any kind of emotional pain. To show any would be to show weakness. I can’t have that.

I will miss Michael until the day I die and can see him again. I have so many questions, will he still be a baby or do babies grow to adulthood in heaven? I don’t know but I’ll find out.

I have to be honest, I don’t really do anything on this day. Literally nothing. Some years are better than others, some are tougher.

The anniversary of my mom’s passing is this coming Sunday. The anniversary of my brother’s passing was August 3.

I do believe I’m done for today.

Day Three of the Juice Cleanse

Ok, so, I’m on day three of my 7 day juice cleanse. So far the results are as follows: no knee pain at all, all joint pain gone, stomach pains completely gone and my energy level is increasing.

Also I feel more alert, I haven’t had coffee since Friday and I have only gotten one headache. It was quickly dispatched with Excedrine for migraine.

This is a vacation for my mouth, no chewing, it is a vacation for my esophagus, a vacation for my digestive system. I can definitely see incorporating a two to three day juice fast once a month.

I love sweets and I haven’t had any cravings so far. This is amazing.

When I ordered the juices I had the option to have them change out one juice a day for a spicy one. I sat for a moment and quickly clicked the button. Today was ghost pepper. Ghost. Pepper. Me. The woman who doesn’t do peppers. At all.

It was so good! The only one I haven’t cared for so far has been one with turmeric in it. It was bitter, but I got it down.

I highly suggest this cleanse, I have 4 more days. I really can’t wait to see what the end brings.

Juice Cleanse

So I decided to do something for me, I know, I do a lot of that, but you know, when one’s children are grown and I have no responsibilities besides myself, it’s all about me.

I decided to do a juice cleanse, my stomach was hurting with the protein drinks I was consuming, I have tried several different ones, the same issue. They are all plant based and organic, still pain. When I stopped drinking them I have no pain, but really bad heartburn and acid reflux, usually sugar causes that, but I have had no sugar, I have been on Keto. So I made the decision to do a complete juice cleanse.

I have been hearing about this particular one for quite a while on the radio. The morning show that I listen to, Kidd Kraddick in the Morning, Jenna Owens and Jsi, they both talk about this one.

Squeezed online is the one they talk about and the one I went with. They have great review, I decided to do the 7 day one, it is ambitious, to say the least. It is all juices, no coffee, no food, just the juices they provide.

I took the plunge, I ordered what the site recommended, they were having a 30% off sale on all of their juices, so it was a great time to do this. It’s not cheap, not for the faint of heart. Today is day one, I am on the afternoon snack one as I type this.

I did have them change out one of the snacks for one that is spicy. I admit, it was almost too much, but I persevered and drank it. The lunch one had romaine in it, that was not good. But I persevered.

No coffee means caffeine headaches, when I felt it coming on today I grabbed the Excedrine for Migraine, it took it out immediately. I am not going to suffer in that way for this cleanse.

I had very little energy this morning, but now it is picking up. You drink 5 juices a day and they have one cashew milk for the day as well. That is for protein and energy, I have drank about a fourth of the one for today so far.

The one for the evening meal is charcoal, I’ll update you on that one after I have it. Right now I am on the afternoon snack one.

On another note, I received the book I told you about in the previous post. I haven’t started it yet, as I was focused on the cleanse, I will read it tonight. I am very excited to read it, I do believe God talks to us and I do believe He uses His messengers to do so. I’ll update you on that as well after I have read it.

Other than that, it is a very drama free life I live, I am re-watching Chuck for the third time, no judgement, it is just so good.

More updates on the juice cleanse and the book as I go along. The website, in case you are interested is www.squeezedonline.com, they have a lot of good info and different cleanses on there.

Dean Cain’s Birthday and Angel Talk

What am I doing today you may ask, why, on Dean Cain’s birthday I am watching the pilot episode of Lois and Clark, the new Adventures of Superman. He was and remains the prettiest man I have ever seen.

As you all know in my line of work I get to speak to so many interesting people in my line of work.

As I promised in my previous post I was going to tell you about the website one of my customers told me about. It is actually his site and it is about not only him but his mother. It is www.spiritspeaks.com, it is about how his mother started getting messages from Angels.

Some people believe that God doesn’t really send Angels but He did and He continues to do so today. The bible is clear that God does speak to us, some He gives visions, some dreams and some messages. Those are all not necessarily the same. My father for example had visions and they all came to fruition. So I firmly believe God speaks to us and He does use Angels, they are His messengers after all.

I am very interested in this site and I have even ordered their book, An Angel Told Me So by Wilma Jean Jones and Michael McAdams. I am very interested in this due to the fact that what they are saying is rooted in biblical teachings.

Check out the website, it is very interesting and I will be telling you more after I get the book and read it. I have Prime, so I’ll have it tomorrow. Will read over the weekend and tell you all about it after that.

We all ask God to wrap us in a hedge of protection, that hedge consists of warrior Angels.

I wonder if one will bring me Dean if I ask nicely?

That’s all I have for now, check out the website and let me know what you think. Watch the video of the interview with Wilma Jean, she seems very genuine and very grounded in God.

Why I am Single

Summer is fully upon us here in North Texas. I think you can all guess as to my feelings on this time of year. I am not a fan. Give me snow covered mountains every day of the year.

Yes, I am aware that I live in the wrong state for that. Oh well, one can’t have everything. I have so much that I should stop complaining about the heat. But I shan’t.

Today my bestie, Shay, asked me for the hundredth time why I’m not dating. I told her I would date when Dean Cain shows up at my door. So basically never.

She is not the only one asking that, my BBFF also asked me why I don’t feel the need to date.

Here is my answer and it’s the truth: Because I love my life. I am not willing to sacrifice the peace I have found to allow someone else in.

And it’s true, when you allow someone into your life your comfort is displaced. You do have to sacrifice some things to make room. I’m not at the point where I want to do give up or make room.

Clark has Lois, Chuck has Sarah, the Joker has Harley Quinn and I have a Dire wolf and a Flerken.

Besides Jennifer Styers says women my age should just crawl in a hole and die. Which I’m not willing to do either.

I’m still holding out for a Dean, my own Superman. I’ve been through enough in my life that I feel I deserve someone of that caliber and I’m not willing to settle.

On another note as I have stated before, in my line of work I get to talk to a lot of interesting people. I spoke to a man who has written a book and has his own website.

I, of course, asked if I could check it out and he gave me the websites name. I will be checking it out tomorrow and I will let you all know what I think and if I recommend it.

Forever a Nerd

Last week was a little busy, it was my annual week with Tess. It was spent bowling and laser tag with Uncle Alex, painting with Elicia, Shazam, Spider-Man Far From Home and I got to introduce her to the joys of the comic book store.

I genuinely love getting to introduce my loves to my granddaughter. We bought a Batman comic, a Harley Quinn keychain and a Vision big headed thing. Like a vinyl pop but not. Those were all for Tess.

For me I found a Superman vs Captain Marvel, currently known as Shazam. 1978 publishing date and three Buffy comics.

I hope I never grow up if it means leaving those things behind.

I know one day she will outgrow wanting to spend time with her Gigi, but for now I shall enjoy the fact that she seems to like talking to me and hearing my stories. Which I tell ad nauseam.

I spend a lot of time alone these days so when I have someone to talk to I have a feeling I talk too much. I’m going to need to watch that, no one likes a talker.

I’ve been off of work for a week and just went back today, I could use another week off. I can’t even tell you any of the problems I helped with today.

They are all a blur. I’m very tired. Signing off. Must remember to stop by the comic book store tomorrow, the Buffy comics I was looking for are in.

Thomas Alexander Graham Bell

Once upon a time in a suburb of Texas a wonderful event occurred. Alex joined our household.

On this day Alex was born, being the youngest hasn’t always been the easiest but he has worn the mantle well.

So here is what I want him to know on his birthday:

Dear Alex,

You were the best surprise I have ever had. When you were born you completed our little family. You were full of smiles from the start, Mr. Sunshine face, that is what Elizabeth would call you. Waking with a huge smile every morning will earn you a moniker like that.

I have had the privilege of watching you become the man you are today and I am in awe of your strength and perseverance. I am so proud of you and humbled that God chose me to be your mom.

I love you beyond infinity, never forget that son. We may not agree on everything but I love our conversations and lively debates. I am so happy you know how to have a rousing debate without allowing it to become an argument.

I am so proud of you for making the decisions you have for your life. The life you have today is due to your struggles of yesterday.

I know without one doubt your grandma and grandpa Testerman would be so proud of you. My dad would have loved conversing with you as much as I do.

I love you son, Happy Birthday!

Mom

Meaningful Connections

Ok, so, today at work I had to do some training modules. One of them was titled Meaningful Connections. I became very excited by the title, I thought finally, after 22 years with this company a training that is useful. It’s going to tell me how to meet Dean Cain, I mean seriously what could be a more meaningful connection?

I was wrong, so very wrong, there was one useful aspect of the training. I took a test to find out what kind of bird I am. Kind of scary considering Fat Catstard, I’m guessing he likes birds. A little too much.

Turns out I am a peacock, that was the second time I took it. The first time it was horribly wrong, it said I was an owl. A lover of mathematics, great not only was I not learning how to meet DC I was thrown into a math universe. Not cool.

So I took it again and it made me a peacock. I am much more comfortable being the center of attention. After all I do have my own world.

Apparently I am social, the life of the party and quite talkative. I can live with that.

On a totally unrelated topic, my youngest son sent me a text asking if I still had my Joseph Campbell books and could he borrow them. I consider it a major nerd mom win.

I very happily located them and took them to his house. I can hardly wait to discuss them with him.

Well, that is my world today, next week is my annual week with Tess. We are very excited.

As usual any comments, questions or criticisms can be left here or sent to me at angie@angieworld.com.

Happy Birthday Tessa

Dear Tessa,

Today we mark the day you made your entrance into our lives and this world. I am so proud and happy that I get to be your Gigi.

You are smart, funny, beautiful and slightly dark. I love how Darth Vader is your favorite character and how you want to be a Sith Lord and not a princess.

You are the perfect EIT (Empress in Training), plotting your takeover at every turn. You definitely keep me on my toes.

I love our conversations, I get to see your heart and it is spectacular.

I pray you always keep your curiosity, your innocent way of looking at the world.

I love it when you text me that you believe there are ghosts in your Aunt Elizabeth’s office and how you are trying to capture them with your camera.

I love that you have a deep love for Harry Potter and a real sense of right and wrong.

Happy Birthday my sweet, beautiful girl.

Love,

Gigi.
