Well I did it, I survived my first 10 hour day, with overtime, all is well! Today is Zumba as well as Friday I am so excited,
Tomorrow will be spent going to Bonham, going to see Jeffrey, the air is not working in my car, and it is intermittent! Ugh, the problems of being a customer with an intermittent issue, I can only hope it is acting up tomorrow.
I wanted to get my hair done, I am really wanting a change in color, something lighter for summer months. Not blond, but some highlights, maybe lowlights, I don’t know, I need a decision maker in my life for hair issues. Any volunteers? And please only serious suggestions!
I like the quiet of early morning risings, the house is still, the coffee is on, the internet is working perfectly, what more could anyone ask for. Nothing I believe, not a darn thing. Oh wait, maybe a butler names Jeeves to bring me said coffee, silently, always knowing when I need a refill. Oh a robot butler, that would be even better, I love it, someone invent that for me.
Well, since today is Friday, I do believe I deserve a Starbucks treat, so the Starbucks at Custer and Parker is it for me. I think I have told you all before this is my favorite Starbucks, even early morning the workers are friendly and professional and speedy. Love them, huge shout out to my favorite Starbucks! Everyone in Plano go in and tell them you saw them on angieworld.
Speaking of Starbucks, if you are a Costco member you can use your $5.00 off a bag of Starbucks coffee beans through May 12th I believe. That makes it very affordable, I have already gotten mine, these coupons for the Starbucks coffee do not come around very often! Take advantage folks. That will be all for the advertisements today, it is off to get dressed for the day for this woman. I do believe it is a Lucky jeans day paired with a BCBG top and Madden Girl cork wedges. I hope everyone has a fabulous day, I know I intend to!

Welcome to Friday everyone! I feel it is going to be a good day, the Irishman is chatty this morning which means he is getting better. I have had almost a whole pot of coffee which means I am doing very well.
Zumba was last night and it was the last workout with my friend Kay, we will be on different schedules starting Monday. It was a great time and if we are ever on the same schedule again I know we will be workout buddies again.
Let’s discuss Zumba, shall we, Elizabeth Anne told me she bought Zumba for the Wii, she got because she thought since I do it, then it would be a piece of cake for her. Ha! She found out, it is a workout and a half. I finally figured out why I enjoy it so much, for an hour I get to feel like a Latin goddess, in my head I am just doing exactly what the instructor does. I try not to look in the mirror, for it tells me a completely different story. I will continue with my Zumba and I am hoping to add a body sculpting class as it starts an hour before my Zumba and with the new schedule I will get off in time to take it.
Well I am signing off early today as I do believe it is a Starbucks day, I will be getting my Passion Tea Lemonade, unsweetened of course and perhaps splurge with a fruit cup.
Happy Friday everyone, I hope you have a terrific day and a terrific weekend.
Starbucks Review, Parker and Custer
I have given my scathing review of the Starbucks at Alma and Parker in Plano, TX, now I shall give my glowing review of the one at Custer and Parker. This is by far my favorite Starbucks, they never get my order wrong and they are always friendly.
This particular Starbucks has started doing something unusual, they have a girl outside taking the orders in the drive thru. She is courteous, friendly and funny. She now recognizes me and tells the people inside to get my order right because I am one of her favorite customers. I don’t know if she says this about everyone, but it makes me feel good about my purchase.
When I pull up to the window I am again treated to professionalism and good humor, not overtly so, to turn one off, but just enough to feel as if you are at a neighborhood coffee shop and not a chain.
I frequent this Starbucks and will continue to do so as over the years they have proven themselves, and have very little turnover. If employees are loyal that tells me that the management in this establishment are doing something right and I will continue my patronage to this location.
If you are in the area I would ask that you drop in and give them your business, remember the Starbucks at Custer and Parker in Plano, TX, not just a chain, but a friendly reminder of what good management can inspire in employees.

Welcome To Friday
I have decided to do my interviews weekly, I am working a treat for next week, a real blast from the past. I hope my Fake Producer can book my Fake Guests.
Well today is the day we all long for beginning, well Sunday night if one is being honest, this week today is the day before I get to see the Irishmans face again.
You see he has been growing his beard and hair out so they can shave it tomorrow, he has been raising funds for St Baldrick’s, it is a foundation that raises money to find cures for cancers that attack children, you can go here for more information http://donate.irishjohn.com.
Today I will be stopping at the love of my whole beings abode, yes, Starbucks, I can barely contain myself! So excited for my Friday treat. Who else will be getting their Friday treat? Support Starbucks!
Zumba was last night, it is kicking my behind, I hope it is kicking it all the way out the door and to the curb. It was fantastic as usual, so nice sweating, no, not really, the sweating is horrendous. I think by now everyone knows I hate to sweat, however, it is a necessary evil in the battle of obesity. Must not be 600 pounds.
Alright, short entry due to time crunch, can’t be late! For Starbucks or work! Hope to see everyone giving to St Baldricks and also if anyone is near Trinity Hall in Dallas please come and watch the Irishman emerge from his hair jail!
Boycott Starbucks at Parker and Alma
This morning it is pouring rain, so of course I leave for work early, so early I have time to stop at Starbucks.
I actually stop at one of my favorite Starbucks, located at Parker and Alma, I tell the drive thru speaker my order.
I pull up to the window, first they have my drink order wrong, and the girl acts like it is my fault that they did not listen to what I said. Then she hands me my breakfast wrap sans bag and fork, plus no napkins. I ask her politely for these items, she huffs and puffs and acts like she is going to blow the piggies house down.
Once I hand her my Starbucks gold card, she puts on an incredibly fake smile and says drive safely in the most snarky voice I have heard in a while.
I will be boycotting this Starbucks from this point forward, never have I been treated so poorly. I will also be sending this entry to Starbucks Corporate, they need to know what kind of employee they have. I do this not to get the girl fired, but to have her re-trained in customer service.
In today’s economy can one really afford to be snarky to a loyal customer? I think not, so Starbucks at Parker and Alma, you have lost my business and I am suggesting that others follow suit. Boycott them, and let corporate know why.
Drive in uneventful, even with all of the rain, smooth sailing, so to speak. I love this weather, it is amazing, it is not snow, but I will take it.
When it rains I always get the urge to sing Nothing but the Blood of Jesus, I don’t know why, but I sing that song. What song do you sing in the rain? And if it is rain rain go away, please do not tell me. I do not want it to go away.

Never Bet an Oklahoman
Today was absolutely fantastic, to start things off, coffee of course, then a great appointment with my hair stylist, Beatrice, who is a miracle worker. Then off to see Phillip at Starbucks! I got to meet his partner Taylor, and also see other old friends and meet new ones. A great time was had and Phillip just looks fantastic, and happy, he was glowing, so good to see.
I took lunch to the Irishman as a surprise, I hope he enjoyed his sandwich and coffee treat, then back home. I was going to run errands and do some grocery shopping but it was pouring rain so I decided a nap was in order. I did nap, and it was good.
So, the Irishman and I have made a bet, we bet that the other could not go a day without the internet. We will be doing this tomorrow, so you will not hear from me again until Monday. No games on the IPad, IPhone, nor the Mac, no checking in, no Facebook or Twitter. I wonder who will cave first, a lot is riding on this, te greatest being bragging rights.
I believe I will be the winner, he believes he will, we shall see, tat is all I have to say. I can be very stubborn and iron willed when the situation warrants, I think we have all seen that with the change in eating habits.
The hard part will be tomorrow night, Ruelala.com has their Sunday night Stylathon, the deals, I am already hurting with the thought of not being able to log in. But I can do it! Wish me luck!
Weekend Plans
Well here it is folks, Friday once again, and a glorious Friday it is, dark, dreary, cold and wet. Amazing weather, I do believe God is telling me He loves me. I am firm believer that everything happens for a reason, we may never know the reason, but a reason there is.
This weekend I am going to get to see an old friend, Phillip is coming to town and has set up a meeting at Starbucks so he can see his friends here in town. I would never have thought to do that, I am so excited to see him! He is such a great person, and has done things in his life that I admire. First off he took a chance and moved to a new city to start a new life, I thought he was so brave at the time, and still do. He has been blessed in so many ways since, I wont go into detail, because it is his story, just know that since he stepped out on faith, his life has flourished in so many ways. I am in awe of him, his positive attitude and his amazing smile, can’t wait to see him tomorrow!
I also want to go see the new John Carter movie tomorrow; I am hoping to talk Jeffrey into going to see it with me. I love these kinds of movies! I am so excited about it, I know that sounds crazy, but I love the escapism, the bigger than life, the stepping out of your comfort zone and fighting aliens on an alien planet idea. I loved the books; I loved reading Edgar Rice Burroughs as a kid. Pure greatness, I cannot wait to be taken to a different time and different world, love the movies!
Welcome Back Old Friend!
Well, well, well, it is here at last, Friday, so good to see you old friend, I hate the days we are parted, seems like forever since we were together. I cherish our magical 24 hours of amazement that comes around each and every week.
So, I finally brought my new calendar to work, the Irishman bought me a Blue Heeler one, so it is a Nocona calendar. She is a pinup girl! I have to say I am really glad it is not a Chewie calendar this year; I don’t think I could handle looking at Chewie dogs every day right now. Maybe next year.
Elizabeth Anne’s birthday is Wednesday; perhaps she will want to come see me tomorrow and go get her birthday present a few days early. Jeffrey received his early, no reason why she should not as well, come see me tomorrow Elizabeth Anne, let’s go get Siri for you! Plus, I have some other surprises for you; I know you will want them. Oh, fair warning; expect a tear jerker on Wednesday in honor of my amazing daughter.
I am thinking Starbucks is in order today, after all it is Friday and I must celebrate my old friend with a hot passion tea and perhaps the chicken hummus or chipotle chicken wraps, I don’t know yet. Oh and every one go see One for the Money! I cannot wait to see that movie, I really hope it lives up to the book, I love, love, love the book!
Happy Friday everyone, go out and make it happen!
The First Friday of the New Year
Well it is the first Friday of 2012, the end of the first week of the new year, I was hoping that it was going to feel differently. The day has just begun, so I will give it time to feel different. Perhaps something magical will happen, a miracle, world peace even, wait, no, too much. I will dial it back a bit, maybe I will get a compliment today, maybe I will have a good hair day, a good outfit day and a good makeup day, the trifecta of cuteness. That would be a good day.
I am thinking I am going to leave early and stop by Starbucks, it is Friday after all, no worries, I will stay within my point system! It is a new year, a new week and lower points. Hopefully the weight will start falling off again, I am down 30, I would love to lose 45 more. Then I will be happy. Isn’t that what women tell themselves? 10 more pounds and I will be perfect, but perfect for who? If it is for yourself, great, if you are trying for perfection to please someone, well, I am here to tell you that never works, If they are finding fault with the way you look now, losing weight is not going to help that. You need to get rid of that person, immediately, they are not good for you. I am losing weight for me, I want to look good for me, I will be honest here, I don’t do it for health benefits, I am vain, shallow, very much into how I look. I always have been, I don’t remember a time when I was not concerned with my hair, outfit, shoes or the way my face looked. It has been pure hell getting older, I like to pretend the wrinkles are not there, the cellulite, the flab and the grey hair. Yes, grey hair, it is now coming in by the strand. Horrifying I tell you, although Miss Jan used to tell me that when we were grey we could just go blonde, that way when the grey’s were coming in they wouldn’t show! So I look forward to the day I have enough grey to go blonde, until then I am going to stick with the dark brown.
I wish everyone a great Friday!
Famous Rapper = Nightmare
Last night I had the strangest, worst dream I have had in a long time, I dreamed we lived in a huge two story house, I know what you are thinking, no it wasn’t a cleaning nightmare. We had 7 or eight cars, I think I was a famous rapper, anyway, I heard a noise downstairs. I go down to check it out and big burly men are stealing our cars. I cannot open my mouth to scream and my legs wont work, I try to run back inside to tell the Irishman to wake up and make those men give us our cars back. One of them grabs me from behind and will not let go, I am trying to scream and nothing will come out, it is as if someone has superglued my lips together. That is when I wake up to the Irishman holding me telling me it is ok, it is only him, I can only imagine the noise I was making in order for it to wake him up. I have decided not to become a rapper and live in a huge two story house, also we will only have two to 3 cars at a time, not 7 or eight.
I am getting ready for my last day of work until next Tuesday, it is a heady feeling, this sense of freedom. I don’t know how anyone is going to put up with me at work today, I plan on being happy, over the moon happy, and maybe even chatty. We shall see.
I hope everyone has a great day, mine has started great, I have the Christmas blend Starbucks coffee that the Irishman stopped and got for me yesterday when I told him we were out of coffee. He knows I love Starbucks coffee even when I make it at home. Very thoughtful indeed, see ya in the funny papers!
